I have to admit that I am still having a rough patch right now. Although going away for the Thanksgiving weekend to hang out with Teri and Tej helped a lot. I loved their new couch. As soon as I sat down I was sleeping. I am sure I needed the sleep as the general comments were that family members have not seen me sleep so much in years.
I am still trying to deep clean the house 5 minutes at a time. I need to do another Bookman’s run. I have a whole lot of errands and all the time in the world, but none of the energy. People tell me that this will take time.
I did get the loom warped tonight..my only plan for the design is to use up the yarn currently on the shuttle’s. I got a little over 3 inches woven tonight. I also got the bead out to make some earrings.
A blog about my life, my fiber arts and pictures of my finished work. I will also throw in the very occasional recipe or shopping tip.

Projects 37 to 67
You will notice that you only see 28 items, not 30. The simple explanation is that 2 pair of earrings are hiding in my bedroom. I just loved 2 of the pairs of earrings so much that I could not part with them. These are all for the Taglit fundraiser tomorrow morning at the Tucson JCC At Alvernon and Dodge. From 8 am until noon. Please come out and support Eric and his friends. Thank You.

Friday’s Fundraiser
I did not have the energy to do errands today. So after my eye doctor appointment I came home and made a lot of earrings for the Friday morning fundraiser for Eric’s day program. I only have 5 more pairs to make for my promised 2 dozen. Let’s just say I really prefer more than 2 weeks notice for making things for fundraisers.
Also since I can’t commit to a full day Friday, the fundraiser will end around lunchtime. All my earrings will be priced at $5.00 and the bracelets at $10.00. This will be a good time to pick up something for mom and help a good cause.
The fundraiser will be at the Tucson JCC at the corner of Alvernon and Dodge. That is unless you come in on the back side and use River Road. There is not a hard start time, but around 8:00 am to noon.
Also Eric and his friends made some great greeting cards and other art projects to sell. So please try to stop by and make it a sell out. Usually the money goes to scholarships and supplies.
As usual 100% of the sale price for my jewelry will go to the day program. Also if you have any tabs for Eric’s charity project they can be dropped off too.

Feeling Better
After sleeping most of the day, I am happy to report that I am feeling better. I will still try to keep things on the light side though. So this afternoon I designed 4 pairs of earrings, 1 of which I am keeping. I plied 3 skeins of art yarn. To top the night off I started knitting a new hat. I expected that my creative energy will be all over the place for at least a few days. I really can’t wait to see what happens.

Eric is Sick Again
The cold symptoms started last night. Eric has the Cold Du Jour. Eric is miserable The three of us are not very happy with this cold. We know that is just a matter of time before John and I get sick. We are not fully back to our version of normal from this summer. What we don't understand is why people continue to go about their daily activities when they are sick, knowing that they are spreading the cold.
John and I continue to prepare for the Taglit Fall Fundraiser in between taking care of Eric. I managed to assemble 10 pairs of earrings today. John has the 3-D printer running at a good clip. He is making some really cool things. We are both very happy that other artists have agreed to let us use their designs for the fundraiser. It is not a hard sell when we tell them that 100% of the sale price will go to Eric's Adult Day Program. We are both very grateful for the community support for this fundraiser year after year.
I am really hoping that Eric has a good night tonight but I am not very hopeful at this point. I hope that Eric makes less laundry tonight then last night. Eric managed to fill the washing machine to capacity today. Wish us luck and if you don't see us for a few days you will know the reason why.

The Stove and Back Splash
Today the back splash started going in. I think it looks really nice. John did a very good job picking it out. The stove is being a bit stubborn, it is taking a little more work than we thought. They will have to move the electrical outlet tomorrow. Today we took out a bit of tile under the stove. So we could level the stove with the counter.
While the work in the kitchen continued, I made 60 pairs of earrings for the fund raiser tomorrow. I found that having the Ott lite over my shoulder made it easier to do things while getting ready for tomorrow , I also found some earrings that I made a while a go. They should go nicely with the ones I made today.
I would also like to leave e everyone with a favorite quote of mine. "I am standing on the shoulders of the of the ones who came before me."

More Progress
More progress was made on the kitchen today. The crown molding was installed. One cabinet was adjusted for Eric's percussion machine and nebulizer. After more than a decade of use it will finally have a home of its own, not in the middle of the floor. More electrical work was done too. We now have power to where we are moving the tv. Hopefully the electrical will be finished tomorrow. Along with more finishing work.
On the crafting front I did the finishing work on 2 rag rugs and made almost 2 dozen pair of earrings for the fundraiser on October 21st. I have another 18 layed out and ready for assembly. I am not working on the earrings right now because I am sitting with a sick Eric. So I guess that I will do some more knitting. After all you can never do too much knitting.
With Eric being sick and the granite being installed tomorrow it should be very interesting around here. My wish for all of you is to have a less interesting day.

A Crafty Day
Even though I am still tired from Eric being sick last week, I am starting to get my energy back. I managed to make 22 pairs of earrings, knit 2 full size wash cloths and 1 mini wash cloth. I also managed to keep up with Eric's laundry.
I am hoping for a quite week next week. Have a good week everyone.

More of the Same
Eric is still sick and shared. This has left me the only one fully standing. I have hit exhaustion. Eric will also be home tomorrow too. So I will be home too.
I spent the day doing laundry, taking care of Eric and working on making more earrings for the up coming fund raiser. I decided to skip cleaning, I only have so much energy.
So tomorrow will be much the same as today, with the exception that it might rain Friday.

A Busy Day
Eric had a rough night followed by a packed day for me today. I spent 2 1/2 hours making earrings for Eric's day program fundraiser on March 11. Almost all Eric's friends have made at least 1 pair. So now the staff is starting to make some too. They put together the beads and I do the assembly.
I restarted the green shawl for the 3rd te tonight. I cast on all 280 stitches and knit the first 3 rows. I really hope that the 3rd time is the charm. Although with the days hitting the mid 80's already it might be next fall before I get to wear it. I am beginning to wonder if we will have ice break in April or May this year.
Another Day at Home
Eric decided very early today that he did not want to leave the house. So we caught up on things like the rose parade and a few situation comedy's. I also worked on making some earrings for the next fundraiser for Eric's day program. Nothing fancy this is the $5 to &10 crowd. I will make a couple of dozen more and call it quits on those.
Today Eric needed lots of attention so I spent most of the day just trying to keep him happy. The one accomplishment that he seems very happy with is that he made 4 loads of laundry all by himself. I did not even get to the towels or our clothes, but I can work on that tomorrow.
I noticed this evening that my pants were starting to get a bit uncomfortable. They are riding about an inch above where they are suppose to be. When I lowered them to where they we're suppose to be they just looked all droopy. I guess this means that in a few more months it will be time to shop my closet again and then hit the sale rack.
Well Eric is fianally asleep so it's time to call it a night.

Creative Spirit
I have been working with some fabulous jewelry designers from the Taglit Group at the Tucson JCC. They get to rummage through some of my beads and designing earrings which I then put together for them. They are coming up with some incredible designs that I would not even have considered. I usually try to keep my earring systematical. They are going asymmetrical and in all different ways because they have not learned the rules. I think that after working with these creative young people I will try to throw some of the rules out the window too. In the past few weeks most have also been shown the basics of weaving and are busy making Mug Rugs. Over the summer they were busy making dog toys and greeting cards.
This is all in preparation for our big spring bake sale, car wash and craft sale. This will all happen on March 11, 2014 in front of the Tucson JCC starting at 8 am. and running until 3 pm. The money raised will cover projects not covered by state funding or grants. It also show the young adults from the Taglit Special Needs Program for Young Adults that they can create things that other people had not thought possible from them.
So I would like to urge everyone to stop by with a dirty car to be washed. A shopping list of gifts to buy for people and pets and room for some bake sale goodies. I might even have a few hand crafted items available with the total purchase price of my items going to the Taglit Program.
If you can't stop by, but would still like to help this great group of young adults with special needs just follow the links and make a donation. For cash donations follow this link and indicate Inclusion on your donation form. If you can make an in-kind donation follow this link to Wish List. If you would like to order some Greeting Cards that are sold in packages of five, please use the link.
I would like to thank you in advance for your support. This means a lot to Eric and his friends.

Getting Crafty
I took Eric to The Lego Movie today. It was a cute movie although I would not recommend it for the visually impaired. There are just to many booms and unpredictable loud noises. My hand is still a bit sore from all the gripping Eric did almost 12 hours later.
I also got 19 pairs of earrings done for the mid March fund raiser that Eric's Taglit group is doing. I would have made more but I was loosing my natural light. I find that natural light is better for me when I make jewelry.
Tomorrow I plan on making more jewelry plus deciding what supplies to take on Monday when some of Eric's friends get a chance to design some of their own pieces.
It has been a busy day and tomorrow looks a little fuller. So I am calling it a night.
