Ok, I have Really Done It !

OK this morning I have taken the plunge and really listed the Lendrum Spinning Wheel that I lovingly restored for sale. Yes, 3 spinning wheels in the house is one too many. It was a very hard choice to make, it spins wonderfully, but I like having one Double Treadle and one Single Treadle spinning wheel. Since the Louet is better at art yarn, I picked it over the Lendrum. I am still keeping the Lendrum DT. Did I mention that John and Lisa's Dad did a wonderful job or fixing the Louet.  The Louet was broken when I bought the 3rd wheel. I only have enough time to give my attention to 2 wheels. I guess it is true what they say about the 3rd wheel. You knew I would have to add that pun somewhere.

Yes, I am still having angst over selling it, but I do not want to hoard spinning wheels. They really need to be loved and used. I thought hiding the wheel out of sight for a month or so would make it easier, but it did not and I really need the space. We have the upheaval of a major remodel happening  I also think that my family would be a lot happier with me.

So I have posted it on Ravelry and Facebook. I am hoping to sell it locally. Wish me luck and let anyone you know who wants a Lendrum Spinning Wheel without the wait of a brand new one,to contact me.

Washcloths and Mini's

I am now knitting washcloths for the 2 fall fundraisers that I have on my calendar right now.  My pile of finished washcloths got wobbly so I did the finishing work on the second pile today.  Here is a quick look at the basket of things that I still need to tag. The bottom layer is composed of hand knit hats. The top layer is composed of washcloths and mini's.

A Crafty Day

Even though I am still tired from Eric being sick last week, I am starting to get my energy back. I managed to make 22 pairs of earrings, knit 2 full size wash cloths and 1 mini wash cloth.  I also managed to keep up with Eric's laundry.

I am hoping for a quite week next week. Have a good week everyone.

Exhusted

I have reached the point of exhaustion this week. I am at a place where I am so tired it is hard to fall asleep.  It is a place that I don't go to often, but none the less it is not a good place to be. Eric getting sick a lot has not left me time to recharge. This has left me fumbling all over the place.

I am trying not to do anything that I can really screw up. So no complicated knitting or writing patterns, knitting washcloths is about my speed this week. I am getting energy at odd times and just doing house work when the energy is there.  It is a good week to set freshly spun yarn, and spin art yarns. It might just be a bad week to label yarn or anything else.

John is being wonderful making his own dinner or bring dinner home for the both of us. I am so glad that he is my backup. I would be more tired, if that is possible if he were not here to help.

We are going through a lot of staff changes with Eric so I hope that I don't scare anyone off. This might be some of the pressure that I am feeling too. Well it is time to go set the next batch of yarn.

It's Official

I can say with out a doubt that I hate post viral asthma.  I was already to go to bed when Eric flared up.   Meds were give. Eric was cuddled. 90 minutes later he is finally asleep. So to unwind I picked up dishes, washed a pan and started the dishwasher.  I also started a load of Eric's laundry.

I was also pondering the idea of making the parents who send their young adults to day program when they are sick, to be required to do the night shifts with Eric so I can get some decent sleep.  I know it will never happen.. It's always just allergies, even with a fever and throwing up.  If I had a nickel from every parent who sent their kids to program sick, but saying it was an allergy, I would have some real money for Local charities.

The house is turning off the lights so I guess it is bed time.

Breaking Cycles

I need to break this cycle of Eric getting sick. He is almost ready to go back to program. We just have one little hiccup, a thrush infection. Really!!! All he had was a fever and tummy bug. No antibiotics at all. I love Eric dearly, I just wish he would not get sick so often.

My body currently hates me. It is achy all over and tendon snapping seems to be the theme of the day. Flare ups tend to come more frequently when Eric is sick.  My body is telling me I need more sleep. My mind on the other hand is telling me that I need to knit, spin, weave, sew and make more jewelry for a couple of up coming charity events.

I think now that Eric is asleep I will give into my body and try to get a few hours of sleep.

Going Old School

Tonight we did something we have not done in a while. We divided and conquered. This might take a few lines to explain. Teri was home for a weekend visit and a good time was had by all. Eric did his very best to keep up with Teri, foregoing his usual sleep all weekend routine just to keep up with his friends in the Taglit day program Monday through Friday.

By this afternoon Eric was beyond tired, he was exhausted and his body said enough. All heck broke loose just as I was about to take Teri to the airport. Eric's tummy decided it did not want to hold down any food so he threw up in the shower. Hey, if you kid is going to throw up any where the shower is a great place. Did I mention it makes no additional laundry? It all gets washed down the drain. I will take care of a through cleaning tomorrow while Eric is home with me.

So I made sure they guys had things under control and drove Teri to the airport. Yes, I know that she has frequent flier status and can get through any airport in the world by herself, but I still did the mom thing and walked her to the TSA check point. Yes, as I write this she is now home safe and sound.

I drove through some Monsoon storms on the way home, I sure hope it got some dirt off the car. It was the first time in a long time that I have driven through rain at night. I decided not to stop on the way home so I will have to do a very early grocery run for Tide Boost, Pedilyte, bread, peaches and caffeine tomorrow.

By the time I got home, John had things under control. So all that there was left to do was take out the trash, empty the dishwasher, and laundry. As soon as this load is ready for the dryer I will call it a night.
