It is not quite 3 a.m.m and I am waiting for my sinuses to drain. The Palo Verde Trees are in bloom and the grass pollen is very high too. This is all because I wanted to take a walk last night to get outside for a bit. Really dumb, but it was so nice.
This is where Ice Break in Tucson comes in. Ice break is when it reaches 100 degrees for the first time of the year. Legend has it this is when the ice breaks on the Rilito River. Then sand trout fishing begins for the first time of the year in question. After 3 days of 100 degree days the pollen count drops really fast. Then I can go out on my evening walks again without worrying about waking up at 3a.m. Sneezing with an ear ache or 2..
I did not plan far enough in advance to get some hard candy to help relieve the congestion. I was more concerned with getting the basics at Trader Joe’s then the things I would need in April. Well I think things finally cleared up enough to go back to sleep.
A blog about my life, my fiber arts and pictures of my finished work. I will also throw in the very occasional recipe or shopping tip.

A Plague of a Day
It would have been enough if I had only woken up with the room spinning and my ears hurting, without the right medicine in the house. Then finding out that you can't get it at the drive up window was a bit much this morning.
It would have been enough to get to Eric's doctors appointment on time, but not being at the wrong office was too much this morning.
It would have been enough to leave after Eric's doctors appointment and bring him to his day program. , instead of enjoying the fine dinning of the hospital cafeteria.
It would have been quite helpful to know that there are really bad colors that need immediate attention. We learned the hard way, don't ask.
On the bright side it was a nice sunny day so Eric and I enjoyed some time outside listening to music.
On the bright side we check into the lab test early and the hospital transport system was behind so we got in early to the test.
On the bright side we are home tonight. I am exhausted beyond belief. It takes a lot of energy to get in to high gear when I don't feel good, let alone keeping it up all day.
On the very bright side John brought home dinner. For that I am very grateful.
