today I recycled four years worth of old Arthritis Today Magazines. It is much easier to google what I want then trying to remember which year and issue the information I need is in. This cleared off eight inches of bookcase space. All totaled eight bags of recycling, eight inches of magazines and one bag of trash left the house today.
After being up most of the night with Eric and a broken kangaroo Joey pump, I had no energy for anything but getting Eric's pump replaced after the cleaning spree. On the other hand Eric was feeling better and wanted some quality mommy time. So needless to say I am really exhausted at this point in time. I hope that everyone sleeps tonight.
This out of sync post is why I should not blog when exhausted.
A blog about my life, my fiber arts and pictures of my finished work. I will also throw in the very occasional recipe or shopping tip.

Life in the Blender Again
I am sitting with Eric while we do a trial run on pedilyte. The kangaroo Joey is set to 5 ml per hour. For those you who do not live in the ml universe, that is 1 teaspoon per hour. Yes, Eric is sick again. I swear that if I had a nickel for every time some said that their kids had allergies and Eric got sick, I could make a hefty donation to fight hunger here in Tucson. With any luck I might just make it to bed by midnight. I also feel that it falls on deaf ears when I ask people to stay home when they or their kids are sick.
In other news, Teri’s Blanket is on the last round of the boarder. Then I get to weave in two ends per block. Then I will wash it. I don’t think that I will block it since it is 100% organic cotton. The final picture and row count should be some time this week. It will have over 12,000 rows for the one million row challenge on Ravelry.

Redundant Post
You might have already guessed. I am writing this post from Eric's room. He is sick again. We did not even make 7 days between yucks this time. He has an awful cough and a tempature of slightly over 100. I am waiting for him to settle in for the night so I can get some sleep.
It seems really weird to sit here in Eric's room and not to be able to knit. I even passengered across town today without knitting. I am following my doctors orders, no mater how hard it is. So instead of knitting I am deep cleaning closets deciding what I don't really need to keep. The craft de stash has begun. I am slowly piling things to go on the dining room table. Check with me if you have been coveting some of my craft supplies to see if the item has or will make it to the destash table. The larger items I will try to sell local first. Smaller items that can be shipped will go up for sale once I figure out the prices. My talley for the week is one loom gone, one loom listed and one tapestry loom pending pricing.
There is a silver lining to my very sore hands. I found a spare feeding pump bag for the kangaroo Joey, so I do not have to take time to repair the one that is falling apart. More space. Less repair work. Yeah!!!

A Very Good Sunday
Today was a very productive day around here. Before lunch I finished 4 loads of laundry, 1 hat, the bills and a news letter.
Eric and I went grocery shopping after lunch. He is such a good helper, he carried the basket for me while I pushed his chair.
After we got home hat number 2 for the day was finished and a 3rd hat was cast on. Since I knit 2 of the same exact hats, I will only show one hat. The color combination of the day is blue and yellow.
I am hoping for another great day tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great week.
Well there was 1 hiccup today. Eric's button popped out at 10 pm requiring a new button and change of clothes and some bedding. I should have know something was going to happen when the kangaroo bag needed to be changed earlier in the night due to an air leak.

Life with Eric
It was a very long night with Eric last night. First there was the asthma treatment at 10pm followed by the tummy ache at midnight, that lasted until 2:30 am. I finally got to sleep a little after 2:30am. Then woke up with the headache from he double toothpicks at 5:30am. For a while the day seemed to go down hill from there. Eric's Kangaroo Joey pump bag broke leaving a mess of formula to clean up and requiring another pump bag be filled and primed.
On the good side I only had 3 loads of laundry today. Followed by 2 hours of house work. John joined in the house work effort today. I really don't know how he does it. He manages to stay in one area until it is completely done. While I am a blur of constant motion. We seem to get the same amount of work done but he is not as tired at the end of 2 hours of cleaning. After lunch I took a stab at the computer desk, it is only 40% complete, but there is a lot less paperwork on the desk. I also got some spinning and knitting done today.
While we were doing laundry and cleaning, Eric slept most of the day. John and I managed to get a short nap. Eric had another sore tummy this evening which has been taken care of, hopefully. It seems to be time to go give Eric another breathing treatment before bed.

Spinning My Wheels Today
If you think I spent the day at my spinning wheel or using a spindle you would be way off on your guess at my day. I did get Eric off to camp with out a hitch. Then it was off to Fry's to get a few things for the house. I managed to get home by 11 and could not figure out where the morning went.
After I put away the grocery's it was time to go to lunch with a friend who needed a shoulder and some resolve. A very long and convoluted story that will not be gone into here. Needles to say this left me drained. So I thought a quick nap was in order. So I set my timer and closed my eyes.
5 minutes later...
You guessed it. A call from camp. Eric's Kangaroo pump was acting up. So it was off to spend the afternoon at camp with Eric and his pump. Yes the pump is now running. But I am a little peeved with that particular inanimate object. I really did plan on getting some cleaning done today. 3 loads of laundry, shopping and 1 load of recycles out was a lot less than I had planned on doing today. Well maybe if I end my blog here I can get a little more cleaning done tonight. Then again there is always tomorrow..

Murphy's Law Rules the Day
I thought I would blog a little on the early side today. Eric did not have the best of nights last night and around 4 am his Kangaroo Joey decided to stop working. Not being totally awake it took me until about 6 am to figure out the problem and call the equipment company. I managed to put together a temporary feeding "machine", yes that's right a syringe and a bolost tube powered by myself and his camp councilor. Yes we do have a new pump. The equipment company forgot to call me with a delivery time and left the new pump on the doorstep.
But wait the day gets better. We get to camp and I realized that I have the wrong backpack. I have the red one not the blue one. So I drive home behind the group of cars who will not go over 25 mph in a 40/45mph zone, both lanes mind you. I then drive back to camp. I changed out the back pack and decided to stop at Starbucks on the way home. I could not figure out why a once bustling Starbucks was so slow. That is until I got my drink order. I ordered a venti drink and received a grande, one size smaller. I asked why and was told that since I brought my own cup it was policy* to make the drink one size smaller than the cup. I took my 3/4 full cup of tea a little miffed. Then it was back home to drop off the red backpack because I could not leave it in the hot car. I know it was only in the high 90's today but with the car closed up in a hot parking lot it was too hot for Eric's emergency kit.
Today must not have been my day to knit either. I spent as much time tinking** as knitting. I did take Jeans advice and call the Starbucks Corporate Offices and spoke to a nice young lady by the name of Lexi. I asked her about the "new policy*" that I was told about at the store. The Very good news is that is not the corporate policy and that they will send me a coupon for a replacement drink. I would like to give Starbucks a shout out for great customer service and the professionalism of Lexi.
This paragraph contains some politics so if you don't like politics please skip it and go to the next paragraph.
I should not have checked my e-mail either. Our wonderful, thoughtful Governor wants to cut our respit services by 50%. When Eric was born the state run institutions were closing down with state and federal officials saying that they would continue to provide services that would enable us to keep our children at home and in the community. Over the last 2 decades there has been a gradual decline in services. A mear 20 years later just as our children are reaching adulthood they are cutting the services to the bone and beyond. Yes I know that we are in a recession and money is tight. But it is time to stop cutting taxes. It is time for our elected officials to stop running around like life was a popularity contest and do their job. A sound bite slogan does not give me a good nights sleep. Raise our taxes if you need to but dont' throw our families under a bus.
The political statement is over.
I was to tired to fix much lunch so it was cheese and crackers and time for a nap. A note to my self, Sheri please restock the cheese drawer. Do you think I will remember tomorrow? A 2 hour nap and it was time to pick Eric up from camp. Now if I could just stay awake long enough to get Eric to bed tonight it will great. If he sleeps though the night it will be even better.
Well it is time to find the energy to pick up and do a little cleaning before the weekend.
At least when I make chili, I usually make 4 servings so at least dinner is cooked for the night.
**Tinking - the polite way to say you have to rip out the @#*&% rows and knitting and redo them
