Best Intentions

My plan for dinner tonight was a hardy vegetable mushroom beef barley soup. It would go nice with our cold weather here. Yes, it is well below 70 degrees Fahrenheit here. By the time I finished getting all the vegetables in there was no room for the barley. Oops, I guess we are having a vegetable stew with a little meat.

Today's Boo Boo's

The first picture is what I walked into this morning.
At least I was not home for the discovery of today's remodeling boo boo. It turns out that the kitchen counter to fo low to slide the dish washer in place.  I think I am getting really tired of a boo boo a day.  So the current count is 2 counters that need to be fixed.  However I am really excited that I now have a deadacated sink to wash yarn and fiber in.

The shellfs also arrived for the craft room.  I wonder how full I can pack them? This means that the next phase of remodeling will start before the first phase is finished. I think I will just go along with the craziness for now.

Lace Knitting

I have decided that I am not very good at lace. I really screwed up the the set up row of lace and am just now on row 3 finding all of my mistakes. I don't want to rip out about 1,000 stitches and redo it. That being said I want my first lace project to look good even if it just 10 rows of edging. Johns vote is to fudge row 3 so that the last 7 rows of lace look good, with the theory that not many people will notice or know the difference. It would also take me at least 1 if not 2 nights of knitting to get back to the beginning of the lace as I did not put in a life line. Then another 2 days to get back to where I am now. Does anyone else want to weigh in on the subject? If so just leave a comment.
