No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Last night we thought it might be a good idea to skip cooking for one night and help a local Tucson restaurant.  Although the food tasted great and we only ate a small portion of the food we bought, hours later both John and I were sick.  It might take a few days to recover.  So much for doing the right thing.  Sighs.  A day of napping.

Hopeful

I am hopeful that I have beat this cold.  I have my fingers crossed that the fever has finally broken.

I spent another day sleeping and not doing much. I managed to finish 2 UFO’s, this means that  hats 6 and 7 for the year are finished and hat number 8 was cast on.  If I am feeling better tomorrow I will cast on some fingerless mittens for me.  I was also able to consolidate  yarn from 2 project bags devoted to hats into 1 project bag.  Small step progress.

Right now it is time to try for more sleep.

Home Sick

I have a head cold. So I spent the day sleeping, doing laundry and knitting in no particular order. I missed my step goal by 1,500 steps.  That ok.  There is always tomorrow.

Still Sick

I am still home sick. I am a little less tired, but the arthritis kicked in with vengeance today, so it was another slow day. I rested most of the day again.

I did manage to fill 9 dog pillows and they are awaiting their final seam. Maybe in the effort to declutter John will take them to the shelter for me. Unfortunately I still have more dog pillow stuffing. I really thought that 3/4 of a bolt of fabric was going to be enough with one or two left over. No such luck.  So after the holidays I will make the next batch of pillows. It is company season so I want to wrap things up by tomorrow. The craft room must become the guest room.

Is am working on a new blanket pattern.  I wonder if I can get the knitting, pictures and pattern done by Christmas? Will my hand hold up under the stress? Please join me in saying how much you hate arthritis too.

Well it’s time to call it a night.

Still Sick

I am still under the weather,  but I had slightly more energy than yesterday. So easy laundry got done. More things were moved out of Eric’s room. A few shelves have been finished. This is day 2 of the cold and I am so done with it. I hope that I wake up tomorrow feeling 100%

Under the Weather

Today I was under the weather in more than 1 way. At 7:30 am it was a balmy 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Not a good start to the day. I also don’t know if I have the virus Du jour or a  sjorgren’s syndrome flare up. I spent the day huddled under a blanket still freezing and sleeping most of the day. I ventured out only to get the mail. There was a thief roaming the neighborhood going after mail and packages. I found this out thanks to ring  It’s time to call it a night and hope that I feel better tomorrow.

Getting Nothing Done

I am hoping that this cold I have is the same one that Eric had this last weekend or we are toast later in the week. I woke up this morning with a stuffy head. It progressed to sore joints with wanting to sleep all day. It is still lingering tonight. The worst part is I know it is not over yet. There is a a diffident lack of swelling in my joints.

I have made very little progress in my stash down this week. I have been spinning a lot of yarn on the drop spindles for the last few days. When I fill up the spindle I just put it aside so I can ply the yarn later. This is the great thing about having more than 1 spindle. Well it's time to do more spinning.
